Kevin M. Schengrund, DVM

Dr. Kevin Schengrund is the owner of Hershey Veterinary Hospital. A native of Hershey, Dr. Schengrund graduated from Hershey High School in 1980. After completing high school, Dr. Schengrund attended Penn State University and Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine. He received his DVM degree from Purdue University in 1988.

Dr. Schengrund has numerous veterinary interests. Some of his veterinary interests are internal medicine, surgery, ophthalmology and ultrasound. Dr. Schengrund is also an active member in several veterinary organizations. These organizations include Purdue University President's Council, American Animal Hospital Association, American Veterinary Medical Association and Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association.

Even with his busy practice, Dr. Schengrund is nationally recognized for breeding Morgan Horses. Dr. Schengrund is the President and owner of Schengrund Stables, LLC. Schengrund Stables, LLC engages in innovative breeding of Morgan Horses. Innovative breeding and strong achievements at various competitions has garnered national interest in Morgan Horses bred, raised and trained by Schengrund Stables, LLC.

Dr. Schengrund enjoys growing roses, taking care of his fish pond and playing basketball. Dr. Schengrund shares his home with two cats – Frannie (Ragdoll) and Gigi (Domestic short hair), and two dogs – Ali (a yellow lab) and Lexie (Border Collie).

Beth S. Dunbar, DVM

Associate veterinarian at Hershey Veterinary Hospital, Dr. Beth Dunbar completed her undergraduate studies at West Virginia University and was awarded a B.S. Degree in Pre-veterinary Science in 2003. During her four years at West Virginia University, she was an honors student and graduated cum laude.

Following her undergraduate studies, Dr. Dunbar worked for two years as a veterinary technician at a veterinary hospital in Morgantown, WV. In 1999, she applied to veterinary school and was admitted to Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine. After four years, she graduated from veterinary school and was awarded her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine.

A general practitioner, Dr. Dunbar has professional interests in ultrasound, surgery, cardiology and behavior medicine.

During her leisure time, Dr. Dunbar enjoys traveling, attending football games, running, hiking, and exercising at the gym. Outside the house, she is usually accompanied by her 2 dogs, Brianna and Adare. Inside her house, Maximus, the cat, can be found on her lap.
